Survey of Doom: Siren’s Port Edition

Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Five foot six and a half inches, thin, curvy fairly well built.

2. How old is she?
Complex. She has spent two birthdays in Port which should make her around 20 in years but 19 in body because of an ‘update’ and adventure at St. Edelweiss.
Bonus:
She holds several fake ID’s saying she’s anywhere between 18 to 25.
Her actual Port Drivers Licence says her name is Belle-Mère Jacobs, age 22. She uses this for her business licence as well.

3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?
Good posture! She’s a lady after all. >_>;;

4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Great health!

5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Like a cat, she is graceful and fluid.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?
Many people consider her attractive or beautiful. Curvy, good skin and hair, a nice appearance, well kept. She likes to think she looks good, thank you.

7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Light, sun kissed, and perfect! ~_^

8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.
A little longer then shoulder length now. A bright orange-red and well kept and cared for. Lately she wears it in two low set pig tails. One patch of hair at the side is always a bit longer then the rest.

9. What color are her eyes?
A brownish amber color.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
On her left shoulder is a scar where she stabbed herself. Part of this is covered by a blue tattoos of a mikan and pinwheel. the scar has healed nicely but is still visible.
On her right hip, hidden most of the time under clothing is a light blue tattoo of two circles, the strawhat pirates flag and a delicate design of lightening and waves. It runs down her hips, mostly covered by shorts though if she wears really short shorts it shows, just a bit. Marco tattooed it for her, for free. She got it because it was free...

Back, shoulders and neck.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?
Casual, dressing, beach wear, summer wear, cute, fun, bright, playful, short, easy to move in, sexy, and all sorts of things. She loves clothing, especially if it is cheap AND good looking.

13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?
Oh yes. They fit very well and she always looks perfectly comfortable in anything she wears.

14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?
Depends on the job. She wears the Sector Zero uniform at one job, casual attire at another. Meeting people for business? She dresses up a bit more.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Bikinis! Er... I mean: All three.



Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
It can be a bit higher pitched at times. But she has a nice comfortable sounding voice. Easy to sound sultry at times, or very angry even when talking in a calm voice. It’s a nice voice.

2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?
Strong, loud, even, easy, clipped, fast, it all depends on the situation and who she’s talking to (or yelling at).

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Not really.

4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?
Basic language for their location. In Port it comes out sounding like “English”.

5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
Nope.

6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?
She’s a fast thinker and good with speaking.

7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Eloquent! She knows how to talk up some people to get what she wants.



Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?
Yes, she’s pretty smart. Sea smart, street smart, book and business smart.

2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?
On her feet! But time is always nice.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
She’s a good mix of all of these. Logical but intuitive, idealistic and practical. She leans more to the practical side of things however and knows how to take care of her own business.

4. What kind of education has the character had?
Home taught by her adopted mother, self taught for everything else. Most of her education comes from pursuing her own forms of education or just natural talent to pick things up fast.

5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?
Cartography, Navigation, Business, Weather and the Sea. She is always interested in learning MORE on those subjects, but lately in port she has become interested in computers, driving and other forms of technology. She doesn’t care for computers much however, but she’s learning how to use them.

6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?
Extrovert for the most part...

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
OH GOD MOOD SWINGS! She is moody. Happy one moment and instantly hitting someone on the head with a demons yell. She can be more level tempered however, and most of the time she only gets short tempered with idiots or... her crew.

8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
Showing up nearly alone in Port the first time she was suspicious, lost, confused and upset. Finding some of her crew helped however. She’s growing more adjusted to the messed up time events in her life however, so these new situations don’t surprise her as much as they had before.

9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?
React, mostly. Let the boys act!

10. Which is her default: fight or flight?
FLIGHT! But... over time fight has become stronger for her. If she can get out of something with out having to fight for it however, she will try that first.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
She likes jokes, puns, some pranks, black humor and what not, like the next person, but only at the right times!

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?
Not officially, but when she was in the ‘mental’ hospital she was told she had a few things she was in for. Those were Diagnosis: Anorexia Nervosa, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Histrionic Personality Disorder, & Kleptomania. Most of which were forced on her in order to ‘keep’ her there. If anything her PTSD actually did set in because of that place. As for dealing? She has friends and crew mates.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person?
The death of Belle-Mère. Joining Arlong’s crew to save her village. Being saved from Arlong by Luffy. Traveling with Luffy and the Strawhat Pirates. The weather wizards of Weatheria. Being swept away to two mental asylums and tortured, fighting and crazy. Dealing with her crew going in and out all the time in Port.

14. What does she fear?
As much as she doesn’t like to admit it or talk about it she now has a deep fear of being left alone. Of all of her crew leaving and her close friends disappearing again. She also has a small fear of small dark enclosed spaces, thanks to her cell at St. Edelweiss.

15. What are her hopes or aspirations?
To draw a map of the world!! Her world that is. She doesn’t care so much about this world, though she wouldn’t mind exploring it a bit.

16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?
That she was forced to eat humans by a doctor. Though this was said to be all in her head, still the thought is horrible and it’s not one she will tell anyone ever. Only two people know about it at this point and that will be that. She has trouble eating because of this still. It’s a mental thing now.



Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents.
Real parents unknown. She had a great relationship with Belle-Mère however.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
Real siblings unknown. She has an adoptive big sister named Nojiko that she loves to death however.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?
No. Not blood.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them?
Genzo however is someone from home that she holds close to her. Not a father or a relative but a family friend. She gave him a LOT of hell as a kid, but he’s a good man.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Outside of the crew Nami had a sisterly bond with Vivi for a while, and Lola from her Thriller Bark adventure is to date the first and only person she willingly shared her treasure with. With Vivi in Siren’s Port Nami has a good room mate and someone she is perfectly fine staying around when the boys are being idiots.
Since meeting 17 year old Ace in port she has gotten very close to him. He could easily be considered her best male friend in Port and someone she was emotionally connected to. His last disappearance effected her badly because she knew he was dead back home now.
Though Robin is not a sibling and IS part of her crew, she relates to Robin as if she were an older sister and someone she cant boss around and does respect highly. Robin is Nami’s emotional support and go to person when she needs someone reliable. Since Robin left the Port Nami has felt like she was missing something.

6. Does she have other close friends?
Jack Kelly, Yuffie, Rin and Sasuke, All of the other people who came from the asylums that she did as well. All of them she considers good, close friends and would do anything to help them. At the moment only Jack, Yuffie and Rin are left.
Tifa is also someone she considers a close friend. Someone she met here, found out was close to Yuffie, and works with. She trusts Tifa deeply.

7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people?
Both. She makes ;friends’ well enough, but keeping them for long periods of time doesn’t work too well.

8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends?
Friends that are Family is important.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once?
Single. Single foreveerrrrr! Though she has almost been forced into marriage before.

10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
No. Not really. She had some deep set feelings for Jack Kelly for a while, but she’s pretty sure that wont be going anywhere, and feels it’s for the better anyhow. She isn’t much for relationships. Too much trouble.

11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest?
First crush is unknown. Doubtlessly some young guy back home. Last crush was Jack Kelly, but that was a bit ago.

12. What does she look for in a romantic partner?
Smart, fun, playful but knows when to be serious, handsome and dashing, charming, caring, smart with money, lets her boss them around if she wanted to. Courageous and strong, someone protective of her. Someone who wont over flatter her or over pamper her or act stupid and wild and loud. She doesn’t want to be showered in roses (though gold and diamonds cant hurt). She likes close relationships that have deeper meaning---But she isn’t looking for a romantic partner.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any?
She has none! Though she kind of likes kids and admits that some day she wouldn’t mind one or two, she has no plans to actually have any.

14. Does she have any rivals or enemies?
The Marines.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale?
1 or 2. Mostly and forever into the guys, but she can pull off interest in the ladies in the name of money, need or desire! Also, she knows what’s attractive and isn’t scared to admit it.

16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her?
It’s fun. She’s done it a few times. She’s enjoyed it, but it’s not the top of her list. She will willingly use her sex appeal to get anything she wants however. No shame. She will weasel out of the full act if her goals have been reached or something isn’t going right.

17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
Ehh... this list is full of unknowns and lies.



Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type?
Unknown in her world. In Siren’s Port she is a CANCER! and it fits her well.
IF we were to take her age in port and back track, we could assume she was born in 1990 or 1991, depending, making her a Goat or a Monkey! This is all speculation however as it doesn’t relate to her at all. I do find it amusing however, those two signs.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life?
She is spiritual to the point that she does believe in a god or gods, but she doesn’t put so much faith into it that she is blind. She has at least preyed to god to keep her form being DEAD. Thanks. It is not important in her life however.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
… she has low morals and ethics, but she holds people to higher ones? lets not get into this one...

4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
With the mighty fist of her rage and a demons yell? Again, lets skip this one.

5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them?
All doctors are unwanted and have alternative motives except for her dear sweet Doctor Chopper. This is irrational, yes, but she has good reason for it now that she has spent time in hell. Chopper will forever be her doctor, though Jack is alright to have check up on her while Chopper is away.



Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Comfortable but never rich enough. She’s pulled off a lot of loot around Port and has yet to be caught for it. Working to run two point five business also helps. Robins treasure was left behind helped get the Restaurant built. Other funds have kept her pretty comfortable. She is also a penny pincher, so that helps.

2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her?
She can be a classy lady or a troll. It hasn’t changed too much, but when she gets bored she goes trolling others and talks to them at her leisure.

3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?
She lives above Brooke’s Restaurant and musical emporium with the rest of her crew in a shared bedroom for the girls. It is comfortable and cozy enough, giving everyone a nice place to stay and keep their nakama safe.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?
Clothing and shoes.

5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?
Navigator, map maker, weather controller, idiot boys babysitter (crew), business woman, restaurant owner, club manager, and professional pickpocket on the side. She does it all with ease and almost enjoys all of it.

6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time?
Read, write, draw maps, research things, rest, relax, eat fruit.

7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
Bad. Very bad. She picks at food, skips meals if she can, rarely eats out unless the Restaurant counts as eating out. She likes Sanji’s cooking the best but puts up with other stuff if he’s gone. She likes fruit best of all and has some trouble eating some meats because of an incident a few months ago.
